Looking back -- Sumo Fatio Bros.: The Return of Ian, part 4

After another escape from glitched-airship-movement-patterns land via Magic Butt, now I'm off to world 5...

...a place with brown land, green clouds, and yellowish water.  Yep, I'm guessing this one is based on various bathroomy bodily functions.
Also, for some reason the Podoboos are replaced with ANGRY TURNIPS THAT JUMP OUT OF THE LAVA.  Yep.
Also, this Yo Brother is impossible to beat without fireballs or similar, as the yellow water (...pee?) flooding the room makes it impossible for him to jump high enough to get up onto the row of blocks.  Also, that's one of those micro-Goombas that hides in a block up there.
Skull Narms finally make an appearance.  I think they did in a few levels earlier, but I never took a screenshot of those.  And randomly, everything is normal-colored in this one rather than being all green/yellow/brown like other levels here.
Also, here's another new enemy... Nipper Plants are replaced with little toilet things.  With eyes.  And teeth.
EVIL PIKACHU SUIT!!

And yep, the Kuribo's Shoe is replaced with... a giant broken(?) toilet that's oozing green stuff, with a little turd just barely peeking out from the top.
And yep, the Evil Pikachu Suit lets you fly.
Fatio can also hide in a broken, oozing toilet.  Also, there's the non-grayscale version of the little turbaned suicide-bomber guys who replaced Bob-Ombs.  I guess you could call them "Turribombs" or something along those lines.
Using the Evil Pikachu Suit's statue power to kill random things that you otherwise can't do much to... like Roto-Discs.  Or Burps, I suppose, considering their edited graphics in this game.
Also Thwomps.  Or Poo Bags.  Either way, they can't withstand the weight of a Pikachu statue suddenly dropping on their... well, I guess a bag of poo doesn't exactly have a "head," so... huh.
And these lamp things are randomly replaced with dead bugs hanging from the ceiling, for some strange reason.  I really don't remember why I changed them.  Though I do remember that when I was a little kid I was afraid to touch those ceiling lamp things because they reminded me of Fire Chomps and I thought I might get hurt if I touched them.
And now we're up in the fart-cloud sky.  With one random regular cloud there, for some reason.
More turnips o' doom.  Also, I don't remember that red bar at the top being visible way back in the day when I was playing Mario 3 on an actual TV...
Soom-Soom randomly reverts back to a regular Boom-Boom when the winged version sprouts wings.  Whoops!
Also, Fire Chomps are changed to Kirbys that fly around and spit fire at you, while randomly trailing a chain of bricks behind them for some reason.  I suppose they're not actually "Kirbys" in the pink-Nintendo-character sense, but more like proto-K'hyurbhis... though considering this is a random goofy ROM hack that also includes Metroid enemies and critters wearing Geno hats, either way is possible.
Yep... there's some random bricks dangling out of a Kirby's butt right there.
Speaking of Metroid critters, here's the replacement for Para-Beetles.
Humping mosquitoes making a brief reappearance at the end of some levels here.
Nothing too special about this screenshot, it just reminded how much better the SMB2 waterfall graphics (which I replaced the original ones with in this hack) look than the original SMB3 ones.
And... the king's transformed self is still the usual bird here, not another Metroid critter.
Roy Koopa is exactly the same as before, but the "DUH" he shoots from his wand is pretty visible in this screenshot so I went ahead and grabbed one.
Yep... Cheeseton.  The ice level is replaced with a CHEESE level, with things trapped in blocks of cheese which you can melt by... throwing bricks at them? Okay, that part doesn't make a lot of sense.
And here's the land of cheese, where everything is orange, yellowish, or... blue? Well, I guess there is such a thing as "blue cheese," but I don't think it's quite neon blue like the stuff shown here. XD

Cloud platforms are really odd-looking here.
Also, Metroid spooky-face-statue platforms and turnips jumping out of molten... cheese, I guess? It's not quite orange enough to actually look like cheese, though.  More like something you'd have found in world 5 of this hack... XD
Also, those spikes are really weird-looking, too.
Here's a Creature That Eats Kids thing with a red head, spitting a ki blast into the air while... burrowing through the ground, I guess?
That mushroom house was originally hidden behind a near-impossible level where you had to do some ridiculous "fly up this exact space while holding an item" trick to beat it.  I added in a back entrance. XD
Sunglasses...?  What the heck are those?
Li'l Sumo-San in here.  Looking a little pale, though... albino cave sumos?
And a bunch of green seals swimming in the underground lake of pee... I mean, weirdly yellowish cheese.
Ah, the sunglasses were the Yo Brother Suit.  Except the suit graphics themselves have not been edited, just the hammers changed into "YO."
Like the Tanooki Suit, this one lets you kill random enemies that nothing else works on, like these.
Soom Soom doesn't have spikes, so he instead protects himself with an aura of deadly farts.
The Yo Brother Suit does have its map graphics changed, even though its in-game graphics aren't.
Dead bugs and sad Phantos here.
And once again the king is a Metroid creature! This time it's one of those weird flying things that I thought kinda looked like mutant Numnums when I was little.  Also, why are Toad and the king grayscale here...?
After a mostly uneventful airship level, here's the princess's letter.  Apparently the Nipper Plant replacements are called "Piranha Toilets."   Also, she talks about the Poo Music Box but then gives  you an F-Butt instead, for some reason.
And here's world 7, where everything's all weirdly faded out and there's loads of pipes and a super glitchy-looking Piranha Toilet sprite.  A forward-facing toilet would've worked a lot better, I suspect.  Anyway... that's all for this one.  Worlds 7 and 8 next time!
